Case Study: Tracing Andrew Tate Activity on Alt-Tech Platforms
Male supremacist influencer Andrew Tate was widely deplatformed in 2022. While in the years since he has amassed a large following on alt-tech platforms such as Rumble and Truth Social, it's a fraction of what he achieved on mainstream platforms.

Australian Election and Politicians’ Presence on Alternative Platforms
Of the 227 Australian federal politicians, we found only far-right Senator Ralph Babet active on the alt-tech platforms Gettr and Truth Social. Watch this space, though: Gina Rinehart, Australia’s richest person and proponent of Trumpian politics, invested in Truth Social in early 2025.

Pravda Network Pushes Canadian & Australian Election News on VK
There has been considerable recent reporting on the Pravda network, an array of news aggregators that peddle Russia-friendly narratives. We took a look at how accounts linked to the Pravda network made up a large chunk of the discourse around elections in Canada and Australia on the Russian social network VK.

The team at ProPublica continues to publish their findings on “Terrorgram,” a white supremacist network active on Telegram that has inspired real-world attacks, with their latest piece profiling Matthew Allison. Telegram data from Open Measures was used in this investigation.
